Privacy Policy

AISmartPrep ("we", "us") is an educational study and exam-preparation platform for professional certifications and licenses — currently offered as VTNE Prep: Vet Tech Exam + AI — operated by Eternal Harmony LLC. This policy applies to all AISmartPrep exam editions and explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address, display name, and optional avatar.
• Study data: quiz results, flashcard selections, and study statistics you generate in the app.
• AI chat content: the messages you write and receive in the AI Study Buddy. These are stored in your personal account so you can revisit your conversations.
• Purchase records: whether you own an AI Exam Pass or BYOK Unlock, processed through Google Play and RevenueCat. We never receive your card or payment details.
• Basic technical data: app version and platform, used to keep the app working correctly.

How AI messages are processed

When you use AI features, your messages are sent to an AI model provider to generate a response. If you use your own API key (BYOK), requests go to the provider you chose — Google (Gemini), DeepSeek, or OpenRouter — under your own account. If you use the built-in AI (AI Exam Pass or the free sample), requests are processed with our key through Google's Gemini API. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your chat content for advertising.

API keys (BYOK)

If you add your own API key, it is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. The encryption key lives only in our server environment — not in the database — and your key is only used to make requests you initiate.

Data retention and deletion

• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete Account), or by emailing us from your registered address.
• Scheduled deletion: your data is removed automatically after a 30-day grace period. Signing back in during that window cancels the deletion.
• Immediate deletion: everything is removed right away. This cannot be undone.
• Some records may be retained where the law requires it (for example, transaction records for tax purposes, or content preserved under valid legal process).

Age requirement

AISmartPrep is intended for adult learners preparing for professional certification. You must be 18 or older to use AISmartPrep. It is not directed at, or available to, anyone under 18.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at contact@aismartprep.com for any privacy request.

Changes

We will post changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Continued use of AISmartPrep after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
